In [month] [year], at a meeting of Royal Society of Arts (RSA) members in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, we talked about the decline of free play.
We started with a short presentation. Then we asked participants to read a Guardian article on how to get children playing outdoors again (link).
Next we discussed why play is declining, and in the second part we looked for possible solutions together.
Many participants said they hadn’t been aware of the problem before. Many wanted to bring play back to their own area.
